Brekkefossen in Flåm

Difficulty: 🟢🟢⚪️⚪️⚪️

Duration: 20 minutes one way

Brekkefossen is a picturesque waterfall located in Flåm in western Norway. It's accessible via a short but steep hiking trail that offers stunning views of the Aurlandsfjord and the surrounding valley. The hike takes about 45 minutes round trip and leads to a scenic viewpoint where you can see the waterfall up close.

Duration: 5-10 minutes one way

Turlidfossen is a scenic waterfall near Aurland in western Norway, fed by glacier meltwater. It's easily accessible via a short 5–10 minute walk to the base, with an optional 2 km hike to a panoramic fjord viewpoint. It impresses with its beauty all year round, especially in spring and summer.

Rjoandefossen is a dramatic 241-meter waterfall in Flåm Valley, easy to reach near the base by a short walk. It's particularly impressive in late spring and early summer when snowmelt enhances its flow. Since it’s situated in the valley, it’s a more intimate atmosphere, surrounded by typical Norwegian nature.

Duration: 20 -30 minutes one way

Stalheimsfossen is a 126-meter waterfall near Stalheim in western Norway, 30 minutes from Flåm. The trail follows the river for about 1.3 km (roughly 20–30 minutes) through mossy forest to a viewing platform near the falls.The path is mostly flat. The waterfall is a beautiful spot for a wild elopement.

Hjellefossen is a striking 365-meter waterfall located at the entrance of the Utladalen valley near Øvre Årdal. Easily reachable from the parking area, it requires no hike to enjoy its beauty. It’s a beautiful spot for a waterfall ceremony where you can feel Norway’s powerful nature.

Rjukandefossen in Tuv

Duration: 10 minutes one way

Rjukandefossen is a powerful 18-meter double waterfall near Tuv in Hemsedal, easily reached via a short 200-meter forest path from a roadside parking area. Often in winter it gets frozen and it’s absolutely magical and silent. A suspension bridge offers dramatic views over the narrow gorge, and it makes for stunning waterfall elopement photography.
