They took the decision of buying a motorhome and drive it from the UK to Norway in order to get married in the fjords. Their honeymoon was on the road across Norway’s most majestic landscapes.

The Destination Wedding Experience
Rayhonor & Louis’ story is quite unique… they bought a motorhome in the UK and decided to elope to Norway, on the wheels, to get married in one of the most breathtaking fjord landscapes. They wanted a small elopement in a chapel, with a priest, and requested specifically Arnafjord Church in Vik. We made their dream come true: legal wedding in an intimate stave church with local Catholic priest as officiant. They enjoyed a BBQ lunch in the church’s lovely garden, had an SUV photoshoot adventure to capture amazing shots in the raw Norwegian nature, and ended the night with a romantic candlelit intimate dinner in their private cabin, with a private chef.
They wanted a whole journey for their wedding, to explore different countries and drive all over Norway, so they combined their elopement with their honeymoon. What a lovely experience!
Time Of Year
End of August in the fjords means temperatures around 15-16 degrees Celsius, with high humidity, and moderate chances of rain. The day is still long and can enjoy a mix of cloudy and clearer skies. Coastal and mountain weather in Norway tends to be variable. Wind, sudden changes, cloud cover can come in quickly. Their wedding day was cloudy, but pleasant for an outdoor ceremony.

Rayhonor & Louis brought their own professional videographer with them. We had a wonderful collaboration.
The couple also decided to write their own vows and talk to the priest before the wedding day to get to understand how the ceremony would be.
We provided a private chef for their delicious wedding dinner, and a garden BBQ Lunch in the church’s surroundings.
Destination Wedding Accommodation
They booked their own Airbnb by the fjord, in a lovely isolated location.
