Michelle & Donal’s Winter Wedding

The Destination Wedding Experience

Michelle & Donal are a lovely Irish couple who decided to unite their destinies in front of the majestic fjords & mountains of Norway, just the two of them. They had as witnesses our founder and photographer, and our local caterer. They wanted to feel the adventure of the fjords in winter, so our photographer took them on an adventure above the mountains from where they could enjoy high fjord views and get some epic bridal shots.

Time Of Year

They chose to marry at the end of November, when it’s already officially winter, cold, and darker than the rest of the year. We provided them with blankets to keep them warm and they cozied up by the fire that we prepared for them, both during lunch and dinner. We set up the mood with lots of atmospheric lights and romantic candles. Despite the cold weather, they preferred an outdoor dinner, which they enjoyed to the fullest. The quietness of the fjords at this time of the year is magical and peaceful.

You need good layers of clothing to fully enjoy the experience.

Additional Wedding Experiences

They added drone footage and video clips filmed throughout the day. We made a short wedding film to have as a remembrance of their special day. We provided both vegetarian and meat alternatives for lunch and dinner.

They preferred to personalise their wedding by writing their own vows, selecting specific music for their lunch and dinner, and the bride brought her own flower bouquet and fixed her own hair and make-up.
