Deb & Norm’s Mountaintop Ceremony

The Destination Wedding Experience

Deb & Norm both have great-grandparents who emigrated to the U.S. from Norway, and the thought of saying their vows in the land their families came from felt especially meaningful. They wanted something intimate and simple —just the two of them— and they wanted to make sure everything was handled properly. We brought their dream to life: a 4 hours wedding experience on one of the most epic mountaintops in the fjords. Their wedding experience included a symbolic ceremony with officiant, a lunch served in nature, and an SUV Photoshoot adventure over the mountains.

Their elopement holds our record for the fastest ceremony ever planned: we planned everything in just 13 days!

Time Of Year

Even though September can be quite chilly in the fjords, they had good luck on their wedding day and were able to enjoy a mountaintop ceremony without rain. We provided them with fur shawls on their shoulders to keep them warm, and we provided transparent umbrellas (in case of rain).

Additional Wedding Experiences

Deb & Norm chose our basic Fjord Ceremony package which normally it’s just a 2 hours experience including ceremony + photos, but they decided to add 2 extra hours in order to enjoy a delicious fjord charcuterie lunch in nature and explore the surroundings for wonderful elopement photos. They added a wedding cake, drone footage, video clips filmed throughout the event, and video editing. As a result, they got a wedding film made of photos & videos, set up to a song of their choice. They personalised their experience by reading a special poem after the ceremony that reflected their love story and made a very good point for them to keep in mind and heart. Deb chose to borrow from us a preserved flower bouquet and a boutonniere for Norm (free of charge).

She also added bridal hair & make-up services.

We had a wonderful time together and we are so glad to have been a part of their special day!

Destination Wedding Accommodation

They chose to book their own accommodation for one night, and already on the wedding day, they were on the move towards the next destination. We managed to organise everything smoothly, so they could still have the wedding of their dreams even if the time was limited.

The Travel Experience

Deb & Norm made a road trip before and after their wedding and they managed to see a good part of Norway. They’ve visited Bergen, Vestlandet fjords, Sogndal and the glaciers around, and made their way to Lom and Stryn. This area of Norway offers so much to see, from dramatic fjords, breathtaking hikes, turquoise glacier lakes, the highest mountain range in Norway (Jotunheimen) - the land of the giants. By renting a car, you can visit so much and have a wonderful honeymoon right after your fjord wedding.
